Lisper is One-man-army into full stack software development.
More than 20 years of experience with software development with various languages, platforms and enviroments. Software architecture and design. Database architecture and development.
Lisper is founded 2009. as an intention to become free of bosses, 9-17h worktime. Offices, worboxes and corporations are turning developers into machinery coggs. It was my way to live and work as I like.
Home office and work from anywhere, cybernomad style became my way of life.
The favorite programming language of mine is Common Lisp. Total simplicty. This language follows the principle: Code is Data, Data is Code. Swithing from one state to other we are able to manipulate the code we write. That is why Lisp got label as programmable programming language. Many features that modern languages try to addapt now, they exist in Lisp and much much more. This is elegant tool of ancient ages which makes one developer more productive then an army of code monkies in other languages.
Python is one of hottest languages of today. Batteries included, huge support in libraries. Easy to formulate complex expressions, easy syntax, nice libraries. Makes it as perfect tool for beginner as for very exeprienced developer. It has libraries for everything, and widely accepted as primary language in web development and machine learning. Another beast, the pure functional languag Haskell gives the experience for working with as driving a space ship.
Various frameworks like Django, Flask, FastAPI on server side and one I pick as favorite for on frontend Vue are making life more easy and development process much faster. Not every framework suits all purposes perfectly, although all are good for most of problems. Picking the best framework for the project, best database (Relational or NoSql), best methodology of development and best architecture is the skill which bilds over time.
When people use Relational databases, they just tend to define tables, relationships and then do everything in ORM. Although ORM libraries we can find are powefull, the true power of relational databases and SQL is often neglected. I have decades long experience in PostgreSQL, Mysql and others. Sometimes, the structures we are working with are better suited for NoSql databases, where MongoDB and Redis come as good choices.
Web technologies are something what today's world is based. The knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and SCSS from structure and appearance, Javascript with it's supersets as ES6/7/8/9 are the necessity of every full stack developer. To push to the next level of reactivity, we can use Websockets to provide better user experience.
I'll allways pick Free/Libre Software as the guideline since it supports cooperation instead of competition. I promote and use GPL licenses, GNU project and all ideas given by Free Software Fondation. What ever I make I propagate this freedom to customers, so they can choose to keep it for themselves or hire anyone else for further development and changes.
Currently my work is focused as full time remote developer in Copyleft Solutions AS, Oslo, Norway. Being established as an environment which respects and supports developer most, I feel at home here.
However, I'm available for project outside of my current job on part time basis.
Mostly what I'm offer is consultant services, and sometimes, if I find your project atractive enough and uses technologies I described, I can spend some hours as developer as well.
